You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Siste snøfall i fjellet var på 17. mai med vind frå nordvest til sørvest. Den ferskaste snøen ligg då i austvendte fjellsider. I etterkant av dette har det vore milde temperaturer og sol som har byrja å smelteomvandle snøen. Men over 700 moh i skuggesider var det framleis tørr snø torsdag.

Torsdag vart det observert eit flakskred nord i regionen, på grensa mot Indre Troms

Det er lite snø under 400 til 600 moh.

1-4 mm precipitation. Precipitation as rain. Breeze from southeast. -3 °C to 5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snødekket er stort sett stabilt. I bratt terreng med våt, laus snø er det mogeleg å løyse ut laussnøskred.

Fokksnøflak fra tidlig bør vere stort sett stabile no etter høge temperaturar på fredag.

Glideskred er uforutsigbare, men kan forekomme der det er forhold for det, for eksempel der underlaget er svaberg eller bratt gressbakke. Unngå terreng under glidesprekker.
