Avalanche warning for region Heiane Saturday 21.05.2022

The avalanche danger increases due to rain. Be careful on steep slopes with soft and wet snow, a skier can trigger medium size avalanches here. Keep distance to cornices and areas with glide-cracks.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøoverflaten består av smelteomvandlet snø. Snødekket er i hovedsak homogent i de aller fleste høydenivå og himmelretninger.
Det er mest snø i nordlige deler av regionen med sammenhengende snødekke kun over ca 1100 moh.

Snødekket ventes å tåle nedbør som regn generelt godt. Stabiliteten vil imidlertid svekkes noe og fravær av nattefrost gjør at skikjørere kan løsne ut middels store skred.
Vær forsiktig i nærheten av skavler og under fjellsider med glidesprekker.
