Consequence
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.
Advice
Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
Description
From Wednesday forenoon to Friday evening 25-45 cm snow is expected above 300 meters above sea level. Most snow is expected in Salten and Ofoten areas. Locally wind up to gale force 8 from northwest is expected.
