Avalanche warning for region Sunnmøre Tuesday 31.05.2022

Danger level 1 - Low avalanche danger

At high elevations where it snowed during the weekend wet loose avalanches can release naturally if the sun comes out. At lower elevations the snowpack will be more stable, but small wet loose avalanches can be triggered where the snow is warm and wet.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

I lavlandet består snøoverflaten stort sett av våt eller fuktig smelteomvandlet snø. Høyt til fjells har det kommet noe snø i de siste dagene, som nå er tørr eller fuktig avhengig av høyde og himmelretning.
Over tregrensa er det fortsatt mye snø. Noe tørr, lagdelt snø kan finnes i nordvendt terreng over ca. 1500 moh.

Little to no precipitation. Fresh breeze from southeast, changing to breeze from the southeast during the evening. -2 °C to 9 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Little to no precipitation. Calm/light breeze from southeast. -1 °C to 10 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Det vil være lett å løse ut våte løssnøskred i enkelte bratte heng. Dette er mest utpreget høyt til fjells der nedbør kom som snø i helgen. Her kan også enkelte skred løsne av seg selv dersom sola står på.
