Generally stable conditions, but be careful in steep terrain, especially where wind deposited slabs are thin or soft, a slab avalanche is easier to trigger here.

You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det er lite snø i området og spesiellt vest i regionen er det begrenset skiføre under 1000 moh. Rundt Røldal er det flekkvis skare/smelteomvandlet snø med noen få cm nysnø over ned mot 700moh.

Avalanche risk assessment

Påfyll av litt nysnø i fjellet vil øke sjansen noe for å finne små ustabile fokksnøflak i leområder. Det er ventet lite vind og lite nedbør, så fokksnøflakene vil fortsatt være få og små. Skulle vinden bli sterkere enn meldt vil faregraden raskt øke.
