Danger level 2 - Moderate avalanche danger

Published:
Be careful in and close to terrain traps and on steep slopes until the new snow has stabilized. Be aware that persistent weak layers can be hidden in the snow pack.

Snow cover (in Norwegian)

Friday 25. December 2020

Mountain weather

Thursday 24. December 2020

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from north. -12 °C to -5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Clear skies.

Friday 25. December 2020

0-3 mm precipitation. Breeze from west, changing to fresh breeze from the southwest during the evening. -14 °C to -5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Advice

The bulletin is a planning tool and may differ from the actual situation. Always make your own evaluation. To be 100 % avalanche safe, avoid all avalanche terrain.

Avalanche risk assessment
