You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Under skoggrensenkom det forrige uke ca 20-40 cm løs nysnø over det gamle gjennomfuktede snødekket. Høyere opp er snødekket mer lagdelt med fokksnøflak, og innslag av tynne skarelag opp til ca 600 moh, men det finnes også mye ubunden nysnø mange steder.

Det finnes vedvarende svake lag med kantkorn i snødekket høyt til fjells. I indre strøk er det også observert i lavere høyder. Dette ligger i hovedsak dypt begravd og er vanskelig å påvirke.

3-6 mm precipitation. Fresh breeze from west, changing to breeze from the west during the evening. -11 °C to -5 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Fortsatt påfyll av snøbyger sammen med vind gjør at det vil dannes enkelte nye ferske ustabile flak. Fokksnøen dannet søndag vil gradvis stabiliseres. I høyden vil kulden gjøre at stabiliseringen går noe saktere.
