You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det er meir snø i regionen enn på mange år. Snømengdene er fordelt normalt med mest i aust og sørvendte leområder. Ryggar og toppar er avblåst, men mindre vindherja snødekke enn vanleg også mot høgdedrag. Rask uttørking av snødekket etter helga grunna stor temperaturforskjell i snøen.

Det er observert kantkornutvikling under og i eldre skarelag og i snøoverflata, men det er førebels ikkje eit skredproblem.

5 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Breeze from south, changing to fresh breeze from the west during the afternoon. -12 °C to -5 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Fortsatt kald værtype gir kantkornutvikling i snødekket. Dette tørkar ut snødekket og gjer det lausare og meir flyttbart for vinden. Saman med nysnøen vil det i vindutsatte områder bli flytta ein god del snø inn i leområder. Dette gir skredproblem med fersk fokksnø her.
