Be careful in lee areas with wind slabs and in sun exposed steep terrain. A persistent weak layer can in isolated high terrain be triggered and cause big avalanches. Be also aware of big cornices. These can break off and trigger avalanches in the terrain underneath.

Hentet fra an.no: Person tatt av skred i Saltdal En person ble lørdag ettermiddag tatt av et snøskred nord for Satertind i Storengdalen i Saltdal. Det melder politiet i 17.00-tiden lørdag. Personen kom seg ut av skredet på egen hånd. - Noe forslått etter å ha blitt ført mot bjørketrær. Oppsøker legevakt selv, skriver politiet. Ingen andre ble tatt av skredet. Storm slab (soft slab) Vindtransportert i le fra SØ vind. Vindparker myk. Tørr snø fra 300 meter på morgenen. Kantkorn ble observert over skarelag i nordlig sektor på 700 meter. Skulle svært mye til for å påvirke.
