You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

I snøoverflata i fjellet finn ein no fokksnø etter bygevær frå NV i helga kombinert med tidvis kraftig vind.
Det gamle snødekket består i hovedsak av smelteomvandla snø.
Snøgrensa ligg på om lag 300 moh.

Onsdag kl 1400 var det 3 gr. C på Sisovatnet målestasjon (665 moh). Før helga var snødekket gjennomfukta og utan kritske lagdelingar i allefall opp til 1500 moh.

1-3 mm precipitation. Breeze from southwest. -2 °C to 3 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Temperaturauke kan føre til naturleg utløyste skred i snøen som kom i helga og tidlegare i veka. Skred kan løysne både som våte laussnøskred og som flakskred i overgong mellom gammal snø og snøen som har kome siste veka. Mest utsatt er dei områda der det har blitt pålagra fersk fokksnø i det siste.
