Avalanche warning for region Helgeland Sunday 04.04.2021

Danger level 4 - High avalanche danger

Avoid all avalanche terrain. Large naturally released avalanche is likely. Some wet slab avalanches are expected as the temperature increases.

Avalanche problems

on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury a car or destroy a small house (size 3).

20 mm precipitation, up to 35 mm in the most exposed areas. Fresh breeze from west, changing to moderate gale from the west during the afternoon. -7 °C to 0 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Sunday 4. April 2021

30 mm precipitation, up to 50 mm in the most exposed areas. Moderate gale from southwest, changing to strong breeze from the northwest during the evening. -4 °C to 0 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Det er et stadig påfyll av nysnø i høyfjellet og nysnøgrensen synker litt igjen. Store naturlig utløste skred ventes i høyfjellet.
