You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Snøoverflaten er våt og myk etter flere dager uten gjenfrysing. Smeltingen går nå raskt og snødekket begynner å bli tynt i mange sørvendte heng. Rygger og rabber er ofte bare, men i leheng ligger det fortsatt mye snø.

Avalanche risk assessment

Litt lavere temperaturer stabiliserer snødekket noe. Snødekket bedømmes å drenere vann godt og tåle regnet som kommer, men det kan fortsatt gå noen naturlig utløste våte løssnøskred og en skikjører kan løse ut skred der snøen er våt og myk. Husk at selv små skred kan få stor kraft når snøen er våt og tung.

Snødekket antas være omdannet til grovkornet snø og relativt homogent nå.
