Det har vært høye temperaturer i fjellet siste periode og snødekket er i all hovedsak smelteomvandlet og stabilt.
En må over 1100 moh for å finne sammenhengende snødekke, under dette høydenivået er det lite eller ingen snø.


Ved Blåsjø målestasjon (1105 moh) i Bykle er det ikke målt minusgrader siste tre døgn.

10 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Fresh breeze from east. 4 °C to 11 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Ytterligere nedbør og varme svekker stabiliteten i snødekket og det må forventes at våte skred løsner av seg selv der terrenget er bratt nok. Vær spesielt oppmerksom i områder med bart fjell og synlig vegetasjon. Hold avstand til glidesprekker og skavler.
