You can easily trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøen i overflaten har tidligere vært påvirket av sol og varme helt til topps. De siste dagene har det blitt kaldere og overflaten har frosset til mange steder, men blir myknet opp på dagtid der sola tar. Under ca 200-300 moh er det lite snø igjen.

Det gamle snødekket er generelt smelteomvandlet og forventes å være uten kritisk lagdeling.

Natt til lørdag var det 2 minusgrader på Øksfjord målestasjon, 560 moh.

Avalanche risk assessment

Generelt stabile forhold på grunn av lav temperatur og nattefrost i høyden. Nedbøren som er meldt ventes ikke å endre snøskredfaren i særlig grad, men vær obs hvis solen får varmet opp nysnø i bratte, solvendte sider. Da kan det være lett å løse ut små, våte løssnøskred og enkelte skred kan gå naturlig, typisk i nærheten av klipper og bart berg.
