Avalanche warning for region Sør-Troms Friday 04.12.2020

Use caution on recently loaded slopes in the alpine. Large differences are expected within the region. The forecast is very uncertain due to the lack of field observations.

You can trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Onsdag var det stigende temperaturer og kraftig vind, torsdag er det kjøligere igjen og lavere nysnøgrense.

Tirsdag ettermiddag kom det lokalt en god del snø pga. bygevær fra nordvest.

Under skoggrensen er det fra tidligere svært lite eller ingen snø. Over 500 moh ligger det en liten såle av skaresnø. Flekkvis ligger det noe mer snø i forsenkninger og her er det fokksnøansamlinger.

Skredfaren avtar når snødekket fryser til igjen og fokksnøflakene fra tidligere i uka har stabilisert seg.

Det er trolig lite snø igjen i lavlandet.
