Den siste veka har det periodevis vore sterk vind frå sør-aust. Snøoverflata er no vindpåverka og i vindutsatt terreng mange stader avblåst ned til skare.

Under mildværsskaren frå mildvêret 10. januar har det byrja å danne seg kantkorn, men dei utgjer ikkje noko problem enno.

1 mm precipitation, up to 6 mm in the most exposed areas. Breeze from southwest. -16 °C to -8 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Friday 8. February 2019

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from southeast, changing to breeze from the northeast during the afternoon. -19 °C to -7 °C at 1100 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Nysnøen frå onsdag vil raskt stabilisere seg. Det krevst meir belastning for å løyse ut skred, og brotforplantninga vert mindre. Skredfaren er avtakande, men det kan framleis vere mogeleg å løyse ut små skred i områder med ferskast fokksnø. Det gamle snødekket er stort sett stabilt, men det finst fleire lag av kantkorn og byrjande kantkorn som kan utgjere eit problem der dei er mest velutvikla. Roleg vêr gjer at det vert liten endring i skredfaren.
