Be careful on steep slopes with soft and wet snow, a skier can trigger avalanches here. Keep distance to cornices and areas with glide-cracks

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Det har vore høge temperaturar i fjellet og snødekket i låglandet er for det meste grovkorna og stabilt. I sørvendte fjellsider er snøoverflata i stor grad smelteomvandla til topps, og fastheita varierar med dagtemperaturen. I nord- og skuggesider i høgda er snøpakken hard og tørrare.

Snøgrensa er på omlag 450-500 moh, og lågast i vestlege delar av regionen.

Avalanche risk assessment

Høge temperaturar i fjellet og solinnstråling vil svekke bindingar i snødekket. Ein kan forvente mindre våte laussnøskred i alle himmelretningar, spesielt i sørvendte fjellsider.

Glideskred kan førekomme på bratt og glatt terreng. Hald avstand om det er glidesprekkar.

Ver merksam på faren for skavlbrot på toppar og ryggar.
